On 31 March 2025, the last day of Women's History Month, 2025 the Department of Veteran Affairs Center for Women Veterans announced that Laura Hatcher was one of 28 Trailblazer Award Recipients.

In the Spring 2025 Virginia Department of Veteran Services online newsletter, Laura Hatcher Photography was featured as a Veteran Small Business. The newsletter is distributed to almost 500,000 Virginia Veterans and their families.

Virginia War Memorial hopes to take Vietnam Veterans display on the road

On 23 May 2024, Journalist Pamela D'Angelo reported on the Virginia War Memorial's closing ceremonies for the Virginia Vietnam Veteran Exhibit. Embedded in the article is a 3:28 audio that brings to life some of the Vietnam Veterans' voices.

Seward Johnson Jr.’s 15-foot-high by 70 foot wide sculpture of a giant struggling to emerge from the earth, made in 1980 and located at National Harbor in Prince George's County, Maryland, USA, just outside the District of Columbia. In July 2017, I was published on two pages of a new book commemorating the international sculptor, Seward Johnson.
