75th Anniversary of Women Veterans

On 12 June,  I teamed up with the Central Virginia VA Health Care Women Veterans Program Managers (my first government contract as an small business woman!) to support the Celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Women's Armed Services Integration Act.

I was personally invited by the Virginia Department of Veterans Services Women's Program Office to provide event photography in support of this special occasion held at the Virginia War Memorial in Richmond, VA.

The event lasted all day, from 8am to 4pm. Many sponsors and Veteran Service Organizations brought their resources, swag and enthusiasm to host over 100 Women Veteran attendees in what turned into a very busy, sometimes emotional but overall an exceptionally inspiring day.

The attendees were offered a full day of workshops, fireside chats, health care and Veteran support resources, complimentary make-overs, Nascar simulators (Courtesy of Tech 4 Troops), networking, and headshots by Digital Image House.
